Description
Unpaid Intern is a short game where the player gets presented with minigame tasks and must complete enough of them in time before the boss arrives. It was developed during the 2023 RGDC Halloween Game Jam in a span of 48 hours with a team of four. My contributions included programming the core task system as well as a handful of specific tasks.
Process & Challenges
This experience served as the first game jam for everyone in the team. We were also mostly unfamiliar with each other at the time. We quickly got to know each other and coordinated extremely well, allowing for a smooth development process. We also arrived at a decisive gameplay concept early on, which gave room for more development time.
